Bangla Tribune, one of the fastest-growing online news portals in the country, has turned five
The people behind it celebrated their anniversary in the place where they meet every day -- the offices at Dhaka’s Panthapath.
Journalists and other employees came together on Monday (May 13) to cherish the years spent in serving credible reports to readers.
Bangla Tribune Board of Directors member Amin Ahmed kicked-off the celebrations by cutting the cake on the occasion of the news organisation beginning its sixth year of operation.
“Now a day, I read the newspaper less and bank on Bangla Tribune for breaking news and current event,” she said. “The goal is achieving further excellence.”
Bangla Tribune Editor Zulfiqer Russell said at the ceremony that the online newspaper’s “capital is time”.Expressing his gratitude to colleagues over the fifth anniversary, he said, “We will continue our march with the mission to serve readers with credible reports.”
Daily Bhorer Kagoj Editor Shyamal Dutta and ATN News Chief Executive Editor Munni Shaha also joined the Bangla Tribune crew.
“Bangla Tribune has done great in five years,” Dutta said before adding journalists at his organisation now banks on the news portal.
Shaha said she considers herself as a member of the Bangla Tribune family. “As a reader, I am satisfied with reports by Bangla Tribune.”
Unlike traditional news website, Bangla Tribune is a multimedia platform, beginning its journey in 2014.
The online news outlet has gained the readers’ trust as it has solely dedicated itself to objective reporting, freedom of thought and freedom of expression throughout its journey.
