Cadet College Club Lit Society (CCCLS) has been formed as a part of ex cadets’ dedication and contribution to the literary arena of Bengali society.

Architect Shakoor Majid chaired the meeting where a 10-member management committee was formed, said a press release on Saturday (May 4).

Other members are Co-Chairs Ekram Kabir, Lutful Hossain,Treasurer Masud Bulbul and  Kazi Ahmad Pervez, Member Secretary Avik Sanwar Rahman and executive members MirajUl Islam, Quamrul Hassan, Tahmina Shabnam Haque and Sabiha Rahman Jeetu.

The Lit Society was formed by the CCCL members to organise literary activities and to enrich literary genius of the members, spouses, family members and other ex-cadets.

The CCCLS will publish Lit Mag quarterly basis to facilitate CCCL Lit Society authors. Children will be encouraged to write in both English and Bangla.

The Lit Society will organise readers cycle and literary events. The society will invite famous literary personalities to discuss various literary aspects, issues, analysis, writers and techniques at a symposium.

The society will organize Dhaka-Kolkata lit festival and also international lit festival. It will attend international fairs to promote its members’ books.

Lit Society will publish books written by the authors and also anthology from the member authors’.

The society will act as a catalyst for the members’ internal development and to boost the image of the Club externally.
