The investigation into the killing of Feni madrasa girl Nusrat Jahan Rafi is at its final stages and the chargesheet will be submitted in May, says the chief of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).
“Charges will be pressed against 16 people, which will be submitted in court any day now,” Deputy Inspector General Banaj Kumar Majumder told the media in Dhaka on Saturday (May 4).
He, however, said the probe into the ICT Act case against former Sonagazi police OC will take some time.
Nusrat Jahan Rafi, a student at Sonagazi Islamia Fazil Madrasa, was set on fire on Apr 6 after she filed a case of sexual harassment against the principal. She died of her burns on Apr 10. Police have arrested 23 people in connection with her murder.
