Three people, including policemen, have been injured after a crude bomb was hurled at them in Dhaka on Tuesday (Apr 29).
Two traffic constables and a member of community police were injured after the bomb exploded at the capital’s Bangabandhu Avenue, Dhaka metro police’s Assistant Commissioner Mishu Biswas told Bangla Tribune.
“Unidentified people hurled bomb on them. We have opened a probe and conducting raids to nab the perpetrators.
A senior police officer, asking not to be named, said that the attack may have been due to the recent drive to evict street vendors from the area.
DMP Motijheel Zone’s Additional Deputy Commissioner Shibly Noman told Bangla Tribune, “There is a reason behind the attack and we are working on it. Details will be given later.”
