A woman has been killed in a road accident in the capital on Thursday.
The accident took place around 10:15am Friday, when a bus ran the woman over in front of National Press Club.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be known.
Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia of the police camp at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said after the accident she was rushed in critical condition to the DMCH where doctors declared him dead at 10:35am.
The dead body was kept at the morgue while the police arrested the bus driver, he added.
