In Pabna, 21 government primary schools and one government children welfare primary school are being managed comprehensively in the form of a cluster.
The teachers say that an essential base for modern education is being created here. One headmaster of a school says: “The main aim is to instil patriotism, aestheticism and a sense of responsibility.”
Headmistress of Narayanpur Primary School, Rebecca Sultana, says: “Children dream of the future from schools and we are trying to create a sanctuary for them with the right education and extra-curricular activities.”
A school is presented as a country which is injecting a sense of responsibility.
Each school has a Google room where students can learn about historic places around the world and plenty of other things.
There is also a centre which will give information about the War of Independence. This houses photos of the independence movement, starting from the language struggle in 1952.
The schools also have flower gardens and regular sessions on safe road usage and disaster management.
Assistant education officer, Md Aslam, says: “Since several schools are near the main highway, students are given training on safe road crossing.”
The schools also have ‘our school; our dream’ as a slogan.
Education officer, Md Aslam, says: “A school must have all the information about the country and students will learn of the country and the world from the school.”
District administrator, Md Jasim Uddin, has praised this initiative and said: “These innovations are laudable and will transform primary education.”
