Police have detained three suspects over the killing of a madrasa student from Dhaka's Demra.
The three suspects, the madrasa principal Abdul Jalil Hadi, two students of the madrasa Akram Hossain and Ahmed Shafi alias Toha, were held late on Tuesday (Apr 9), said Obaidur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
On Apr 7, seven-year-old Monir Hossain, a student of Nur-e-Madina Madrasa went missing.
On the next day, police recovered the minor’s body stuffed in a sack on the stairs at the madrasa.
After primary investigation, police found involvement of Nur-e-Madina Madrasa Principal Abdul Jalil Hadi alias Hadiuzzaman, Ahmed Shafi alisas Mohammad Toha and Akram Hossain in the killing of the madrasa student.
On Tuesday (Apr 9), victim’s father filed as case with Demra police, maning the three detainees over the incident.
