A member of Thengamara Mahila Sabuj Sangha (TMSS), a non-government organisation, alleged that the manager of the NGO made an indecent proposal to her in exchange of granting a loan.
TMSS member Minu Ara came up with the allegation at a press conference at Jaypurhat Press Club on Monday noon. She also played the audio record of the proposal at the press conference.
In her written speech Minu said, “TMSS Manager Bayezid Bostami made the indecent proposal to her when she asked for Tk 30,000 loan to invest in her husband’s business. Later, the manager made the proposal again through mobile phone which I recorded.”
She informed that a case had already been filed with Dhamurhat thana in this regard.
Demanding Bayezid’s arrest, Minu said, “Locals became agitated after the issue of the indecent proposal came to light. After being failed in his attempt to come to a compromise, the manager filed a fake case by the administrative officer of TMSS against my husband with Dhamurhat thana.”
Local UP member Abdul Matin, Minu’s husband Sohel Rana and neighbour Rina Akter, among others, also attended the press conference.
