A man has been killed in Dhaka after being hit by a car.
The incident was reported from the city’s Karwan Bazar around 9pm on Wednesday (Mar 27), said witnesses.
A speedy car hit the man while he was crossing the road near Kawrwan Bazar’s underpass. Critically injured, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctor pronounced him dead around 10pm, said Shafiqul Islam, one of the people who brought the man to the hospital.
Details of the deceased were unavailable, said Inspector Bacchu Mia of DMCH police outpost adding the man wore blue color shirt and pant.
The body has been kept at the hospital morgue, the police official added.
