A number of 3,892 teachers of private schools, colleges and madrassas have been brought under Monthly Pay Order (MPO) on Monday by the government. From now, the teachers will get their salaries and allowances under government pay scale.
The decision was taken in a meeting Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).
Director of DSHE Professor Dr Abdul Mannan told the Bangla Tribune: “A number of 161 teachers from Barisal division, 128 from Chattogram, 178 from Cumilla, 458 from Dhaka, 404 from Khulna, 599 from Mymensingh, 492 from Rajshahi, 640 from Rangpur, and 102 teachers from Sylhet division have been MPO-listed following their submission of applications through online. Moreover, three teachers have been also MPO-listed following offline applications.”
Meeting sources said out of the 3892 newly MPO-listed teachers, 3463 are school and college teachers and 529 are madrassa teachers.
