Non-Monthly Pay Order (MPO) teachers have postponed their protests with a one-month ultimatum.
Non-MPO Educational Institutions Teachers and the Employees' Federation President Golam Mahmudunnabi Dollar made the announcement in front of the National Press Club on Sunday (Mar 24).
“Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has taken the responsibility to arrange a meeting with the prime Minister,” he said and added that they will fix a date for the metting on Sunday.
“We are halting our protests for a month but we’ll be back on the streets if the assurances made to us are not fulfilled,” Dollar said.
