A warehouse at Old Dhaka’s Lalbagh has caught fire with as many as seven fire-fighting units at the scene battling the flames.
The facility, used to store papers, at Lalbagh’s Shahidnagar caught fire around 9.40pm on Saturday (Mar 23), said the fire service.
On information, seven firefighting units rushed in and brought the flames under control around 10:30pm.
“It’s yet to be clear what triggered the fire,” its control room’s Duty Officer Ataur Rahman told Bangla Tribune.
The extent of damage are yet to be known. No casualties were also reported yet.
The incident comes barely a month after the fatal Chawkbazar fire in Old Dhaka, which claimed 71 lives.
