Subodh Chandra Dhali, deputy secretary of the Technical and Madrasa Education Division said, ‘The duration of all the courses of medical technology including the diploma in nursing science and midwifery courses under the technical education board was four years. According to the new decision, like courses conducted under the Health Ministry, the Technical Education Board will conduct three-year courses from the academic year 2018-19.’

And in both case, Nursing Council gives the professional certificate.

After a writ filed by the students, the High Court directed to conduct the nursing-medical technology courses of Health Ministry and Technical Education and Madrasa Education Board together.

It is to be noted that since 2005 under Technical Education Board of Ministry of Education, there are 238 Institutes are operating. And under the Ministry of Health there are in total 75 institutions.
