Customs officials have arrested two female cabin crews of Saudia Airlines with with 36 gold bars in their possession.

Both women, identified as Saima Akhter and Farzana Afroz, are Bangladesh nationals and arrived at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 2am on Monday (Mar 18) in a Saudia Airlines flight, said Customs officials.

Members of Customs arrested them with the help of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) and found the gold bars concealed inside their undergarments.

A case will be filed over the incident, said customs authorities.
