Rescue personnel from multiple agencies have recovered the bodies of five of the six victims, who drowned in Buriganga River on Thursday (Feb 7) after their boat was hit by a launch.
The bodies were recovered by the Fire Service, Naval police and local police personnel, during search operations conducted Since Friday (Feb 8) to Saturday (Feb 9).
The sixth victim, Shaheda, is still unaccounted for and the rescue personnel are scouring the river in Speedboat, Boats and Trawlers to find her body.
Around 9:45pm on Thursday (Mar 7), the boat capsized after it was hit by a launch near the Sadarghat Launch Terminal.
