Police have made an arrest in the murder of a security guard for ATM booth in Dhaka.
Sheikh Tohidul Islam Nurunnabi was found dead inside the boot EBL near the Cantonment Post Office on early morning Monday.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested his former colleague Sheikh Rusel in early hours of Wednesday from the southern city of Khulna.
The suspect was produced during a media briefing in Dhaka by the elite police unit.
“He was confessed to his involvement in the killing during initial questioning. A previous feud, which happened almost a year ago, is the motive of the murder,” RAB-1 Company Commander Manjur Mehedi Islam said.
Nurunnabi, who worked for the Globe Security Service, was posted at the ATM booth in Cantonment from May 1. Suspect Rusel had worked for the same company until he joined as a recruiting agent for Icon 4 Security Service earlier this month.
