A student of Notre Dame College Bangladesh has been found dead inside at an apartment in the capital.
The 22-year-old Yougen Hanasie Gonsalves, a second-year BBA student of the college, was recovered dead around 1am on Wednesday (Feb 13) from the apartment in Dhaka's Sabujbagh-Kadamtala area, said police.
“The body was recovered last night,” said Sabujbagh police OC Abdul Kuddus before adding, “The body had seven injury marks from knives at its belly and four at its back.”
“Its hands and legs were tied up.”
“We have investigating over the incident and the body has been kept at Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy,” he added.
The victim’s sister Dalin Seal Gonsalves filed a case with Sabujbagh police naming unidentified miscreants early on Wednesday (Feb 13).
