A 10-year-old girl has been in killed after a car hit her in Dhaka’s Uttara, said police.
Sub Inspector Zakir Hossain of Turag Police Station told Bangla Tribune that Faizia Tahmina Suchi was run over by a microbus at Diyabari area early morning on Tuesday (Feb 5).
“Locals rushed her to the Bangladesh Medical College Hospital where she was declared dead by the doctors,” he said.
A fifth-grader at the Milestone School, Suchi is the daughter of Bangla national Ittefaq’s Sub Editor Faizul Islam.
Police said they have seized the car, but its driver managed to flee.
