The voting of Dhaka Sub-Editors Council, an association of professional journalists, will be held on Thursday (Jan 31).
The election will be held in two phases. The first phase will begin at 9am and will continue till 12.30pm and the next will start at 1pm and it will be continued to 6pm without any break at National Press Club auditorium in the capital.
A total of 1,080 voters are expected to cast their vote in the elections.
41 candidates, including three president and three general secretary candidates, will appear for the contest in 21 posts of its executive committee.
Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud is expected to attend the event.
