The Anti-Corruption Commission has written to the Health Ministry suggesting actions against 23 health service officials over allegations of amassing wealth illegally.
The officials are posted in various offices under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The graft watchdog on Wednesday (Jan 23) wrote to the Director General of the DGHS suggesting him to take steps against the 23 officials and employees.
“Corrupt, authoritarian and power abuser officials have formed strong sphere of corruption due to their working in a one workplace for long period of time, which has harmed the good governance of the health services,” the letter reads.
The ACC found the officials in question to have amassed massive wealth illegaly, according to the letter.
