Communist Party of China (CPC), also known as Chinese Communist Party, has greeted Awami League (AL) over its landslide victory in the Dec 30 national election.
The CPC conveyed its greetings through a letter which AL received on Saturday (Jan 5), said AL Deputy-office Secretary Biplab Barua.
The letter said, “The long-lasting relation between CPC and AL has been playing a pivotal role to develop a friendship relation between Chine and Bangladesh.
“The CPC is always ready to extend its support to bring the bilateral relation between Chine and Bangladesh to a higher level,” it reads.
Founded in 1921, the CPC is the ruling political party of China.
AL-led Grand Alliance has won 288 out of 300 seats in the 11th Parliamentary Election.
