The results for the Junior School Certificate (JSC), Primary School Certificate (PSC) and equivalent examinations will be published today at noon.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will make the official announcement of the JSC and its equivalent Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) result publication in a media briefing on Monday (Dec 24) at 12 pm.
Meanwhile the PSC and equivalent results will be announced by Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman Fizar at 1 pm.
Moreover, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the textbook festival on Monday, Nazmul Hoque Khan, Additional Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education told Bangla Tribune.
The textbook festival will begin on Jan 1, where they will be handed over textbooks for the new school year, Department of Primary Education (DPE) Director Dr Abu Hena Mostafa confirmed.
Around 2.8 million and over 200,000 examinees appeared for the PSC and Ebtedayee examinations while over 2.6 million students took the JSC and JDC examinations.
The results will also be available on websites of the education boards and the primary education department after the announcements and phone subscribers can access the results via SMS services as well.
How to check the results:
A primary student will have to type ‘DPEThana/Upazila coderoll number2018’ and send the message to 16222 to get the result in a return SMS.
Ebtedayee students will have to type ‘EBT’ in place of ‘DPE’.
The codes are available on the DPE website ((http://www.dpe.gov.bd) and at the schools and local education department offices.
The JSC and JDC students will be able to check their results on the website of the corresponding education boards (www.educationboardresults.gov.bd).
To get the result through SMS, a JSC or JDC student will have to type ‘JSC or JDCfirst three letters of boardroll number2018’ and send text message to 16222.
