The High Court has directed Election Commission to change the BNP’s electoral symbol ‘paddy sheaf’ in favour of two candidates in Manikganj-1 and Natore-1 constituencies.
The order said that BNP’s nominated candidate for Manikganj-1, SA Jinnah Kabir’s electoral symbol ‘paddy sheaf’ to allocate for Khondkar Abdul Hamid Dablu and Krishak Sramik Janata League’s candidate for Natore-1, Monjurul Islam Bimol’s ‘paddy sheaf’ to Kamrun Nahar Shirin.
An HC bench comprising of Justice JBM Hassan and Justice Md Khairul Alam has passed the order on Thursday (Dec 20) after hearing two separate writs.

Two writ petitions were filed by Khondkar Abdul Hamid Dablu and Kamrun Nahar Shirin challenging BNP’s decision to allocate its electoral symbol ‘paddy sheaf’ to SA Jinnah Kabir and Monjurul Islam Bimol.
