Corruption has become a national malady which is creating discrimination in society, said chief justice Syed Mahmud Hossain.

His remarks came on Sunday (Dec 9) during an event, organised by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on occasion of the International Anti- Corruption Day.

The chief justice also said that corruption can be reined in through a social movement of patriotism.

“Corruption has destroyed the spirit of the independence war and dreams of freedom. Everyone must boycott corruption, and denounce it together,” added Hossain.
