The High Court has scrapped petitions for anticipatory bail by BNP leader Sadeque Hossain Khoka’s son and daughter on charges pressed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
On Thursday (Nov 29,) the bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice KM Hafizul Alam ordered the siblings to surrender to the court of Dhaka chief metropolitan magistrate by four weeks.
The graft watchdog said on Sunday (Nov 25) that the green light was given to submit the charge sheet in two separate cases filed against Israk Hossain and Sarika Sadeque in 2010.
The siblings were served with ACC notices in 2008 to file their asset details.
In 2010, the ACC started two separate cases with the Ramna police in Dhaka.
