Bangla Tribune’s Shahed Shafiq gets DRU Best Reporting Award on Thursday (Nov 29). PHOTO: Nashirul IslamBangla Tribune Staff Reporter Shahed Shafiq has clinched the best reporting award of the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) under the ‘politics and good governance’ category.
In a ceremony on Thursday, 18 other reporters were award in 14 others categories.
Financial Express’ Jashim Uddin Harun and Zobayer Hasan got the award in business and economics while Dainik Amar reporter Faruk Alam in service.
The Daily Star’s Enam Ahmed and Shakhawat Liton have got for the award in crime and law enforcement while the award in women, children and human rights category went to Dainik Bangladesher Khobor’s Nazmul Ahsan Razu.
Samakal reporters Rajib Noor and Abu Saleh Rony were awarded in the Liberation War category while Jagonews24.com’s Murad Hossain and Kaler Kantho’s Shariful Alam Suman jointly won for the education category.
Jagonews24.com’s Jahangir Alam was awarded in the ICT category while Dhaka Tribune’s Bilkis Irani in food and agriculture.
The best reporting award in sports category went to Prothom Alo’s Masud Alam.
In the television and radio category, DBC News’ Rajib Ghosh clinched the award in politics and good governance, Channel 24 reporter Abdul Kaiyum Tuhin in business and economics, Jamuna TV’s Apurba Alauddin in service sector. BBC Bangla’s Farhana Parvin for crime and law enforcement and NTV’s Hasan Jabed in women, children and human rights got the awards.
