A Court in Dhaka has fixed Dec 23 next for the submission of investigation report for the killing of Xulhaz Mannan and his friend Mahbub Rabbi Tonoy.
The date for submission was Nov 25 but since it was not done, the new date was fixed by metropolitan magistrate, Hakim Millat.
On April 25, 2016, Xulhaz, a LGBT activist and a local employee of USAID and his friend, a theatre activist, Mahbub Tonoy were hacked to death by miscreants at the former’s Kalabagan residence in the capital.
Next day, Minhaz Mannan Emon, brother of Xulhas, lodged a murder case with Kalabagan police while sub-inspector of Kalabagan police Mohammad Shameem filed an arms case.
Detective branch inspector Bahauddin Faruqui is investigating the murder case and inspector Nurul Afsar the arms case.
