Seven-month-old dies in Dhaka fire

BurnA 7-month-old child has died in a fire, suspected to be triggered from a gas pipeline leak, in Dhakaearly Wednesday.
The parents are being treated at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with severe burn injuries.
The fire service said flames erupted at the ground-floor of a five-storey building in Mipur around 11:45pm on Tuesday.
Mirpur Fire Station’s Duty Officer Mizanur Rahman said they suspect a leak in the gas pipes that went along the building ignited the fire.
The family was rushed to the DMCH burns unit, where doctors declared the infant dead around 1:30am.
The parents, Manik and Mina have suffered over 80 percent burns, said doctors.
