The newborn was named `Meem` in the documents for the burial.The newborn, who showed signs of life during burial, has died at the Dhaka Shishu Hospital at the early hours of Tuesday.



The baby girl breathed her last around 1:30am, said the hospital’s spokesperson Abdul Hakim told Bangla Tribune.
Hours after doctors at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) declared the newborn dead on Monday (Apr 23), it showed signs of life when relatives were preparing for the burial.
She was rushed to the DSH, the state-run specialised facility for children, and put on life-support at the cardiac intensive care.
Soon after the newborn, who was named ‘Meem’ in the documents for burial, was admitted, doctors at the DSH said her condition was critical.
Doctors at the Dhaka Shishu Hospital (DSH) have said the newborn was brought into the hospital in a critical condition.
“She only weighs one kilogram and having difficulties in breathing. Her body temperature is also fluctuating,” Professor Abdul Aziz of the DSH told the media.
Describing the newborn’s condition, he said they were “waiting for a miracle”.
“We are doing everything we can to save the baby. She has been kept at the cardiac intensive care,” said Aziz.
