Abidur Rahman and Abdullah Mamun were held from Qawmi madrasa rally in the capital`s Suhrawardy Udyan on Sunday morning (Nov 4).Police arrested two youth along with a pepper spray from Qawmi madrasa rally in the capital's Suhrawardy Udyan on Sunday morning.
The arrestees were identified as Abidur Rahman, 19 and Abdullah Mamun, 19.
Abidur Rahman and Abdullah Mamun were held from Qawmi madrasa rally in the capital`s Suhrawardy Udyan on Sunday morning (Nov 4).Abidur and Abdullah were held around 10.30am after recovering a paper spray from their possession while they were entering the rally through the Ramna Kali Mandir (temple) gate, said Asistant Sub-inspector Rafiqul Islam of Hazaribagh police.
“Later, they were handed over to Shahbagh Police Station,” he added.
Al-Hiyatul Ulya Lil-Zami'atil Qawmiya Bangladesh, a combine of Qawmi education boards, organised the event to hail the passage of a bill making the Dawra-e-Hadith degree equivalent to master's in Islamic studies and Arabic.
