An Ekattor TV staffer has been killed and another injured in a road accident in the capital on Saturday.
The deceased Anowar Hossain was an Executive Officer at the Marketing and Sales Department of the Bangla satellite TV channel.
“The accident took place around 10.30am, when a bus hit his motorcycle at Jahangir Gate area in Mohakhali,” Kafrul police OC Sikder Mohammad Shamim told Bangla Tribune.
He was rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital in critical condition where the doctor declared him dead at 12.40pm.
The other victim, who was in a CNG-run three-wheeler, is being treated at the same hospital.
The bus in connection with the accident has been seized with its driver, said Kafrul police.
