An unidentified man has been killed in Dhaka after a train hit him, said police.
The incident was reported on Friday at the rail tracks between the capital’s Kuril and Ashkona areas, said Assistant Sub-Inspector Md Rabiullah of the railway police.
Quoting witnesses, he said the man was hit by Jamalpur-bound train ‘Teesta Express’ around 11am while walking on tracks.
Police recovered the body after the locals reported the incident, said the railway police officer adding that the victim’s identity is yet to be confirmed.
The body has been kept at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
