The 40th BCS exams will seek applications for more than 2,000 vacant posts in different cadres.The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) will publish the circular for the 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) to seeking applications for more than 2,000 vacant posts in different cadres.
A BPSC official, seeking anonymity, said that a few months ago the public administration ministry forwarded a letter stating the necessity of the appointment.
BPSC Chairman Muhammad Sadique, however, said that the circular “may be issued on Tuesday”.
“You will know when the circular is published,” he said when Bangla Tribune reached him for a comment.
According to sources in the BPSC, the 40th BCS intake includes 228 assistant commissioners in administration, 70 assistant superintendents of police, 12 assistant district commandants for Ansar, 344 Upazila fisheries officers, 15 assistant accountant generals and nearly 1,000 lecturers in education cadre.
Nearly another 1,000 vacant posts in medical, taxation, agriculture, livestock, forest, information, railway, economic and postal cadres will be filled up through the last BCS intake before the national election.
