Khaleda Zia’s lawyers have lodged a complaint to the Chief Justice about the special court established within the prison premises for the hearing of the Zia orphanage corruption case.

The chief justice has accepted the complaint and has assured that he will look into it, said BNP chairperson’s legal team.

Earlier, the lawyers expressed their disapproval of setting up court within the prison.

Khaleda Zia’s counsel, Zainul Abedin, said, “We told the chief justice that without consulting the supreme-court, the government cannot issue a notification to establish a court within the prison premises.”

The chief justice has promised us to assess the matter, he added.
