A 17-year-old college student died on the spot after a human hauler hit him in Narsingdi’s Raipura Upazila on Saturday.
The victim was identified as Md Abdullah, a first year student of Haji Asmot Ali College in Bhairab.
The incident occurred in Nilkuti area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway when a speeding human hauler ran over Abdullah while he was walking to college around 10am, witnesses said.
Agitating locals soon blocked the Dhaka-Sylhet road protesting the accident.
We have arrested the driver and trying to stabilize the situation, said the OC of Raipura Police Station Md Delwar Hossain.
