The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, scheduled to start from Apr 1, have been postponed amid the global coronavirus outbreak.

The new schedule of the tests will be announced in the beginning of April, the education ministry's Public Relations Officer Mohammd Abul Khayer said on Sunday (Mar 22).

Dhaka Education Board Chairman Professor Md Ziul Haque said that the exams have been postponed keeping the current situation in mind.

He added that the new schedule with depend on the situation and meanwhile the candidates can prepare at home.
