126 Italy returnees quarantined at Ashkona Hajj camp

As many as 126 Bangladeshis, who returned from Italy, which recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases in Europe, have been quarantined at Ashkona Hajj camp in Dhaka.
A total of 142 Bangladeshis arrived on a flight of Emirates Airlines at 8am on Saturday, said Dr Shahriar Sajjad, in-charge of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport medical team.
“Of them, 126 returned from Italy and they were sent to the hajj camp quarantine from the airport,” he said.
Death toll from coronavirus or Covid-19 reached 5,436 globally as of Saturday. Besides, 145,810 new cases were reported from around the world, according to Worldometer.
Of them, 67,843 are currently infected while 72,531 patients have recovered.
On Friday, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned that Europe was now the epicentre for the global coronavirus pandemic and reporting more daily cases than China did at the height of its outbreak, reported Reuters.
