“We don’t give shelter to any opportunists, extortionists, land grabbers and drug-traders in AL,” he warned, adding that becoming workers instead of leaders is very important for the party.
Addressing the meeting as special guest Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said the present BNP’s politics has become centered to the illness of Khaleda Zia and Skype of Tarque Rahman.
He said Bangladesh has attained significant progress in all development indicators under the present Awami League government. “Magically, Bangladesh is going ahead under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” said Dr Hasan also the AL Joint General Secretary.
He said continuity of power stands as a significant aspect for taking the country to people’s desired stage. “We don’t want to remain in power for a single day without public support,” the minister said citing reference of many countries which are being governed by a single party for long.
