Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayn Chandra has said this year the country has enough sacrificial animals and there is no need to bring animals from outside.
He made the comment on the third day of the DC Conference held at the Secretariat Thursday.
The government has taken steps to ensure supply of healthy animals, he said.
“We also asked the deputy commissioners to keep vigilant so that no sick animals can be supplied to the market,” he added.
We are also watchful that no traders can use harmful medicine on the animals, he added.
