No allegation of irregularities and corruption has been found against any justice of the High Court, says Law Minister Anisul Huq.
The government has no plan for now to formulate a new law for the appointment of the Supreme Court justices, he told the parliament on Thursday (Nov 6) in response to the queries from BNP lawmaker Harun Ur Rashid.
Replying to another query, Anisul said, as many as 3,103 cases are, currently, under trial at the speedy tribunals including that of 1989 in Dhaka.
Earlier, the sitting of parliament resumed at 4.17pm before the Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury adjourned the House at 5.20 pm.
The House proceedings will resume at 4.15 pm on Nov 11.
