The quota reform committee will try to submit recommendations within the next one week, said Abul Kashem Mohammad Mohiuddin, joint secretary of the ministry of public administration.
He is carrying out secretarial duties of the committee. The joint secretary said: “after collating information about quotas in government jobs of other countries, recommendations will be made.”
In today’s meeting, work scope plus procedure were fixed, he informed.
He further added that if recommendations cannot be submitted within the stipulated fifteen days, necessary steps will be taken.
The joint secretary stated that no decision has been taken as yet to add any more members to the committee.
At the meet, convener of the committee, cabinet secretary and secretaries from public administration, finance, liberation war affairs, legislative and parliamentary affairs, Public Service Commission, PSC, and acting secretary of PM’s office were present.
