Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted that light to moderate rain likely to occur at many parts over the country in the next 24 hours on Saturday (Aug 10).
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet and Dhaka divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin.
“Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay,” it added.
As an outlook for the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that the rainfall activity may increase at the end period.
However, the day temperature may rise by 1-2 degree Celsius and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
