Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will visit Bangladesh next month, says his Bangladesh counterpart AK Abdul Momen.
Speaking to reporters at his offices on Monday (Jul 29), the foreign minister said he will to remain out of the country from Aug 5 to 17 to perform the Hajj.
“He [Jaishankar] is likely to visit on Aug 20 or 21,” said Momen.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali has recently met Jaishankar at his office in New Delhi and discussed various issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Ali conveyed Bangladesh foreign minister's invitation to his Indian counterpart to visit Bangladesh.
