The government has transferred and designated new jobs for 26 superintendents of police (SPs).
The home ministry’s Public Security Division issued two separate orders over the transfers on Sunday (Jul 14).
Dhaka Metro Police’s Deputy Commissioner AHM Kamruzzaman has been transferred to Lakshmipur as the SP, MD Alimuzzaman will head the Faridpur district police as the SP, SM Murad Ali will take up the job to lead the police in Meherpur.
Proloy Kumar Joardar has been made the SP of Narsingdi , Md Mahbub Hasan in Madaripur, SP Mizanur Rahman who was serving at the Special Branch has been transferred to Sunamganj.
Faruq Ahmed, who was posted at the headquarters, has been given the task to lead the Mopulvibazar police while Meherpur SP Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman has been transferred to Satkhira.
According to a second notification Brahmanbaria SP Md Anwar Hossain Khan and Moulvibazar SP Mohammad Shahjalal have been brought to the headquarters in Dhaka as assistant inspectors general (AIGs).
Faridpur SP Md Jakir Hossain Khan, Netrakona SP Joydev Chowdhury, Laxmipur SP ASM Mahtab Uddin, Narsingdi SP Miraj Uddin Ahmed and PHQ AIG Md Anisur Rahman have been made Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) while Sunamganj SP Md Barkatullah Khan has been appointed SP of Highway Police (Admin & Planning).

Natore SP Saifullah Al Mamun has been transferred to Railway Police as its SP while Madaripur SP Subrata Kumar Halder attached to Rangpur DIG Range office.



Special Branch SPs Abdur Rahim Shah Chowdhury and Farhat Ahmed have been posted at the Police Training Centre (PTC) in Tangail and Noakhali respectively.
Another Special Branch SP, Md Saifullah Bin Anwar has been transferred to the headquarters as an AIG whil DMP Deputy Commissioner Masud Ahmed has been posted to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as SP.
