The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions during the next 24 hours.
“Due to active monsoon over Bangladesh, heavy (44-88 mm) to very heavy (89 mm) rainfall is likely to occur over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions during the next 24 hours, commencing from 10am on Sunday,” a met office release said, reports BSS.
“Due to very heavy rainfall, landslides may occur at places in the hill regions of Chittagong division,” it said.
