Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon said that the National Eidgah is completely ready for Eid congregation.

The City Mayor made the assertion while visiting the Eidgah field on the Supreme Court premises in the capital on Sunday (June 2) morning.

Sayeed Khokon said, “Necessary arrangements have been set up at the Eidgah for over 100,000 devotees.”

He also said that Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) took adequate measures ahead of Eid congregation.

Besides, arrangements for around 5,000-6,000 women are available at one side of the Eidgah with a separate entrance, he added.

If the weather permits, the main Eid jamaat (congregation) of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr is scheduled to be held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises in the city at 8:30am, reports BSS.

Around 100,000 Muslim devotees, including the President, cabinet members, politicians, and diplomats join the congregation at the National Eidgah.
