Female ‘drug dealer’ killed in Mymensingh

Rehana BegumIn a rare incident, an alleged female drug dealer is killed in a shootout. The body of Rehana Begum, 45, was recovered from Shankipara in Mymensingh on Sunday (June 17).

So far, over 150 alleged drug dealers killed in shootouts throughout the country since the anti-drug campaign started in May, but it is the first time any female drug dealer has been killed.

She lived in Shankipara cantonment area and her husband name is Azizul Islam.

Confirming the incident, Kotowali Police OC Mahmudul Islam told Bangla Tribune that Rehana was a listed drug dealer and an accused in several drug cases.
