Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will join his secretariat office on Sunday (May 19) after returning home following his treatment in Singapore, reports BSS.
He will attend a meeting on progress of ongoing development projects under the ministry and exchange views with the media at 10am, ministry’s Information Officer Abu Naser told the state news agency.
On Wednesday, Quader, who serves as the ruling party’s general secretary, returned home from Singapore after 2 months and 11 days.
After undergoing successful bypass surgery in Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital on Mar 20, he was discharged from the hospital on April 5 and later he stayed over a month at a rented house near the hospital.
On Mar 3, Quader was admitted to Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital after he felt chest pain.
Later, he was taken to Singapore after receiving consultation of eminent Indian cardiologist Dr Devi Prasad Shetty.
