1,314 recommended for 37th BCS

Bangladesh Public Service CommissionBangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has published the final results of the 37th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations on Tuesday.
“A total of 1,314 candidates have been recommended for different cadres,” BPSC Chairman Muhammed Sadique told Bangla Tribune.
The figure includes 465 in general cadre, 526 in education and technical cadre, 272 doctors as assistant surgeons and 51 as dental surgeons, he said before adding: “Another 3,454 have been put on the waiting list for the non-cadre posts.”
According to the BPSC public notice, 300 candidates have been cleared for the administration while 100 for police, 20 in foreign service, 14 in information, 50 in agriculture, 79 in fisheries, 47 in livestock and 210 in general education have been recommended for appointment.
The 37th BCS preliminary examinations held on Sep 30 last year. A total of 243,476 aspirants had taken it and some 8,523 were cleared for the written tests, from Feb 11 this year.
The final results have been published after the viva voce. The 37th BCS circular was announced to fill up 1,226 vacant posts in the civil service.
