SSC 2019Rajshahi Board tops with 91.64 pc

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, RajshahiRajshahi Education Board has kept its consistency in securing the top position among 10 education boards with 91.64 percent pass rate in the SSC and equivalent examinations this year.
A total of 22,795 students secured the highest Grade Point Average (GPA-5) in the SSC and equivalent examinations from Rajshahi Board, according to the results published.
The education board had also secured the top position among 10 education boards with 86.07 percent pass rate in the SSC and equivalent examinations last year.
Like the previous years, Sylhet education board fell at the bottom of this year’s SSC and equivalent examination results in terms of pass rate and GPA-5.
The pass rate of Sylhet Board is 70.83 while just 2757 students secured GPA-5 from the board.
The pass rate of Dhaka Board is 79.62 percent, while it is 90.88 percent in Jashore Board, 84.10 percent in Dinajpur Board, 78.11 percent in Chattogram Board, 77.41 percent in Barishal, 87.16 percent in Cumillla Board, 83.03 percent in Madrasah Board and 72.24 percent in Technical education board.
In Dhaka board, a total of 29687 students secured GPA-5, 22,795 students in Rajshahi Board, 9023 in Dinajpur Board, 8764 in Cumilla Board, 9948 in Jashore Board, 4189 in Barishal Board, 6287 in Madrasah Board and 4751 in Technical Education Board.

The chairmen of the education boards handed over the results to Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on Monday (May 6).
Later, she announced the results at a media briefing.
A total of 2,135,333 students – 1,064,892 female and 1,070, 441 male – appeared in the SSC and equivalent examinations this year under the 10 education boards.
Of them, 1,694,652 students appeared in the SSC examinations under the eight general educational boards.
Like previous years, results can be known through sending SMS from any mobile operator. To know the results, one will have to write in such way (SSC [space] first three letters of respective boards [space] and then have to write roll number [space] 2019) and send to 16222.
Besides, one can get results visiting websites of respective education boards.
Under the general education boards, this year’s theoretical tests started on Feb 2, and ended on Feb 26 while the practical tests began on Feb 27 and continued till Mar 5.
Under the Technical Education Board, the theoretical tests started on Feb 2 and ended on Feb 23 while the practical tests began on Feb 24 and ended Feb 28.
Usually, chiefs of the education boards hand over the summaries to the prime minister. As Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is on an official visit to the United Kingdom, the results have been handed over to the education minister.
